THANKS TO THE WET...WE NEED MORE PANTS!
outside in the spring is great and muddy! Many of our younger students
need to change clothes during the day due to wet, muddy pants. We are
VERY low on sizes 5-6, 6X, 7, and 8 pants. As you are doing your
spring-cleaning, please consider donating these size pants, leggings or
shorts of any color to the office. We will put them to good use!
6TH GRADE OUTDOOR EDUCATION TRIP TO CAMP WOOTEN
On May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, Heights 6th graders will attend our annual outdoor education program at beautiful Camp Wooten.
Each day is full of science seminars, hiking, skits, canoeing, archery, and other supervised activities. Quality meals are served each day in the dining room. Students will study topics in the seminars such as first aid, survival, identifying trees, birds, and animals; canoeing, pond ecosystems, fishing, and compass orienteering. Students will keep a notebook and receive a science grade for their work.
APRIL IS NATIONAL POETRY MONTH
April is National Poetry Month. To help celebrate, we encourage students to stop by the library and create a magnetic haiku for everyone to read!
