Summer School Information
Schedule:
June 16, 17, 18, 20, 23, 24: Morning class 8–11 a.m., afternoon class 12–3 p.m.
June 25, 26: Morning class 9–11 a.m., afternoon class 12–2 p.m.
There are 2 sessions—Math and English. Each session earns 0.5 credit. Other course credits will be earned through completion of an Apex class.
Courses and Credits:
Math = Algebra or Geometry credit (0.5 of each, or 1.0 of one if both sessions are attended). Credit is given upon completion of assignments, not just time served. If enough assignments are not completed with a passing grade, elective credit will not be given.
English = 0.5 credit in the morning / a different 0.5 credit in the afternoon. Credit is given upon completion of assignments, not just time served. If all assignments are not completed with a passing grade, credit will not be given.
Apex class = Credit awarded upon full completion of the class (may include third-year math credit).
Attendance Requirements:
To earn credit, a student must attend every session and complete every assignment. Any tardies must be made up the same day, minute for minute. After 3 tardies, the student is dismissed with no credit. A single tardy in excess of 30 minutes is considered an absence.
An absence must be made up from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. over three days. After two absences, the student is dismissed and will receive no credit. There are no partial credits offered.
