The Clarkston School District is in the process of adopting a new Reading and Writing curriculum for grades K-6. Samples of the curriculum that are being proposed for adoption by the curriculum committee will be available for parent preview on May 21st at 6:00 pm at the Highland Elementary School Conference Room, located in the main office building. The address is 1432 Highland Ave. We welcome your attendance to learn more about and give feedback regarding the proposed adoption materials. Join us at Grantham for an exciting event! Our Buy One Get One Free book fair kicks off on April 29th and runs through May 3rd. We're also thrilled to invite you to our Family / Awards Night on May 1st from 5:30-7:30 p.m. You can purchase dinner tickets (hot dog, chips, and drink) for $3 and snow cone tickets for $1 at the door. Capital Projects Levy - The new Capital Projects Levy that will be on the April 23, 2024 ballot, authorizes a three-year levy for infrastructure, safety, and health improvements. The estimated tax rate per $1,000 of assessed property value is $1.00. The purpose of the Capital Projects Levy is to finance capital improvements to support learning environments such as upgrading heating and cooling systems, repairing roofs, improving flooring, and asphalt and concrete.
